Description

Clay that is very black, heavy, abrasive and maybe dusty. Moisture content: 10% - 20%. Iron oxides, titanium and iron oxides are obtained from ilmenite clay. Bulk density: 2,000 - 2,500 kg/m3. Non-IMSBC Code information: it is used in the manufacture of cement and as a soft conditioner in the foundations for roads and buildings.
